There's nothing better than the warmth and autumnal flavours of this comforting Winter Apple Cake. It's the perfect treat for the colder months that's sure to become a seasonal favourite.
Step 1
Beat the eggs with the sugar until the mixture becomes light and frothy. Add the oil, milk, flour, cinnamon, and baking powder to the mixture, and continue mixing with a whisk until everything is well combined.
Step 2
Grease a baking tin and pour the mixture into it. Peel the apples, slice them thinly, and arrange them in a circular pattern on top of the batter in the tin.
Step 3
Bake the cake in the oven at maximum power for 8 minutes, until the surface is lightly golden. Remove the cake from the oven, let it cool slightly, and serve with a dusting of icing sugar.

Top tips:
Swap the apple for pear, or do a mix of both!
You can leave the cinnamon out if you prefer.
