Thin bacon and chilli pizza

A traditional Italian dish, with a light and crispy base and delicious toppings. This recipe doesn't use mozzarella, so it's great those with a lactose intolerance.

Roll out the pizza dough thinly. Cover with tomato sauce, bacon, shallots, sage and chilli. Season with oil and bake. An extra tip: Add mozzarella for a more indulgent treat pizza.

  • COOKING TIME : 20 minutes
  • PREPARATION TIME : 15 minutes
  • 500g pizza dough
  • 400ml tomato sauce
  • 350g shallots
  • 80g smoked bacon
  • 1 teaspoon fresh chilli
  • 4 spoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 leaves sage
  • pepper
  • salt

Step 1
Roll out the dough very thinly and place on your pizza tray. Chop the chilli and shallots. Combine with oil, salt, pepper and sage.

Step 2
Spread tomato sauce onto the pizza dough, then top with the sliced smoked bacon. Finally, sprinkle your pizza with the onion and chilli mixture.

Step 3
Place the pizza tray into the oven. Select the forced air convection heating function. Temperature: 200°.
